You business will have more productive, focused employees and your employees will have healthier finances and greater financial peace of mind. Strong Track Record of Practical Help & Education
The Credit Counselling Society has counselled and assisted hundreds of thousands of Canadians in solving their financial problems and drastically improving their financial situation. This work has led us into financial education and employee assistance and benefit programs. Our MoneySmart Living program is a natural extension of our vision, experience and proven track record of success. Businesses and organizations of all sizes and government bodies at all levels have come to rely on us for our practical insight and expertise at helping people improve their finances. They find it reassuring that we don't promote any commercial interest and have no vested interest in selling financial products. People love that we offer a wide range of workshops which are presented by trained financial educators. Our financial educators make things easy by providing a single contact person for you to arrange everything with. They also make sure that anyone attending one of our workshops has access to free, confidential one-on-one financial coaching and online resources if they would like more help with their situation.
As surveys now show, at least 1 in 4 Canadians are struggling with their finances. While it's tempting to think that these are some other people out there that we don't know, reality is that some of these people are likely our co-workers. Have you ever had trouble focusing on a task when an issue in your life was pulling on your emotions and/or preoccupying your thoughts? This is what can often happen when someone is battling financial problems in their personal life. It's very hard to leave it at the door when they step into the office, onto the shop floor, or onto the job site. With this realistic picture in mind, it's not surprising to learn that employers can see the following benefits from having their employees participate in our MoneySmart Living Program:
- Increased staff productivity
- Increased retention
- Increased satisfaction
- Increased engagement
- Decreased health insurance costs
- Decreased costs of absenteeism and lost productivity
- Perception as an attractive place to work
